Are IT workers professional?

For me IT workers are professional because they are highly educated and trained to be competent as they are facing increasing challenges pertaining to their career brought by the rapid change of technology, learning new ways of working. They have expertness or skillfulness in a certain field specifically on computer applications in which they possessed a special knowledge. IT workers believed in what they are doing and in values, they care about they clients and to their own career.
